I first saw the Nissan Altima Coupe in the beginning of 2007 on a commercial while watching TV. I fell in love of the styling and performance from the moment I saw it. A couple of months later I received a call from a friend who worked at a Nissan Dealership and informed me that he just got in a new 2008 Altima Coupe 3.5
CVT in Code Red. I literally bought the car sight unseen. Days later I took delivery of my new car but before even driving it off the lot, I had already bought a G35 spoiler for it. I also searched on the internet for an altima coupe forum which led me to altimacoupe.com site which also led me to NICO.com. It was there where I met new people who shared the same level, if not higher, of enthusiasm and interest for the coupe.
After spending $15k on my last build (2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser) I promise myself that the spoiler would be the Only thing I would mod on this car. That lasted only for a month before I started buying more things for her. It started off small like the spoiler, dash kit, Injen CAI but I had bigger plans for my coupe. I wanted to take it to the next level so I contacted Kyle Millen of Stillen Motorsports and was able to obtain a partial sponsorship with them. Soon came the Stillen front Fascia and side skirts, front tower bar, axle-back exhaust and AP Racing brakes. The rear bumper was next and soon purchased the Extreme Dimensions GT Concept rear bumper as well as a Carbon Fiber vented hood and
AeroCatch latch system. As a child I’ve always been fascinated by the look of vertical doors. Somehow this type of doors screamed exotic and luckily Louis Cannole of Vertical Doors Inc fully sponsored me for a set of hinges. Next were the wheels. I then swapped out the OEM wheels for 18” XXR type 006 wheels with Kuhmo Ecsta ASTs. My newest sponsor is Racingline Performance from Canada. Joe Scharfe was kind enough to fully sponsor me with all of his suspension products such as the rear sway bar, and front and rear endlinks. He also provided me with the Stainless Steel Y-pipe which was a great compliment to my one of a kind Fast Intensions Exhaust which was custom made for the coupe with the ED rear bumper.
Throughout the year of 2009 I have entered my car into national and local car shows. Some victories include Hottest Performance Nissan at the Scranton PA, HIN as well as 1st place with other local venues. Attending these shows provided me with more inspiration and determination to further modify my car for the 2010 season. Every modification that has been done was carefully thought out and planned to make a clean “Nice not Rice” Altima Coupe. I couldn’t be more proud! Building her this past year has been an incredible journey and I can not wait to see what 2010 has in store for us!
