INTERIOR MODS:
Kenwood KDC-716 head unit, KenwoodKFC-P707 6.5-inch component speakers in the front and KFC-W2503 10-inch subs in rear hatch, powered by a Kenwood KAC-7202 amp. Tweeters custom mounted opposite to side mirrors with independent volume control located where cigarette lighter used to be. HUD gauge cluster conversion, Doors and glove compartment re-upholstered on vinyl and black felt.Steering is a complete new experience thanks to the Classic Nardi steering wheel, and the beautiful aluminum Autoevation pedals compliments the cabin area by sticking to your feet during spirited driving conditions.

EXTERIOR MODS:
20% tint all the way around, 16-inch Performance Australia Austar rims with 255/55VR16 Nan-Kangs, Brembo routed/cross drilled rotors, kouki taillight conversion, Ken Style Wan-gan wing, K-sport coilovers. Magnaflow exhaust.

ENGINE MODS:
ASE polished coolant overflow tank, C-tune strut bars.Other than an EBay intake filter, engine is fully stock.

HISTORY:
It was back in 1989 (year of the first 240SX) when I fell in love with the car after watching commercials of the 200SX on German TV while serving overseas. This was going to be my first brand new car and had to get it right.As soon as I returned from my tour and while stationed at Fort Hood, TX, I found the nearest Nissan dealer and pick my baby up. Other than the 3 years in storage, it has been my daily driver since then. Most of the custom mods were completed within the last 4 years.This car is been a labor of love and maintenance due to my love for Nissan cars since early childhood.17 years later the car is in pristine condition, all engine repairs, electrical and audio mods are done by me. I guess I’m always looking for an excuse to spend time and money on the car, but this car is family.I even bought a 91 coupe for my son that he currently uses as his daily driver and with custom mods also planned for the future.

During my last deployment to Germany, I was faced with the decision of taking the car or getting rid of it. Due to military vehicle shipping constraints, you can only take one vehicle with you. I decided on leaving the car in storage for 3 years against the odds of having a functional car upon my return. And I must add that I’m very satisfied with the results based on how the car still performs and how good it looks.

The big seller since I bought my car back in 1989 was handling and performance. I just love to drive the car, how it handles and sticks to the road. Reliability is also a big factor. The SOHC KA is bulletproof and build like a tank. Excellent engine to work on with rather cheap and availability of parts is excellent. There are other outstanding Nissan engines out there, but the KA is Nissan history at his best.

My plans at the moment are to assist to as many car shows as possible to share experiences and mods with other Nissan enthusiasts in the company of my son.I’m planning to keep the car for another 20 years or so…?;But also in the market to get my hands on a Datsun roadster or a 1200 hatch and initiate a new Datsun/Nissan project in the near future.I’m definitely enjoying my car and hope that everybody else does in a safely and responsible manner. Life is good; keep those Nissans rolling…..
