Hard to believe the R35 GT-R has been on the market for seven years. While the U.S. launch of the GT-R on July 7, 2008 was a huge event for Nissan, most people don’t know that the concept GT-R was revealed at the 35th Annual Tokyo Motor Show in October 2001, nearly 7 years earlier!
From the NICOclub collection of Nissan and Datsun memorabilia, here’s a really cool piece of history – the official press brochure that accompanied the unveiling of the Concept GT-R.
This sharp-looking piece was produced by Nissan’s Communications Department, and included a CD containing a press release and official press photos of the concept car.
We’ve scanned the brochure and included the pictures for your enjoyment. The press release (translated from the original Japanese text) is reproduced as well, below the pictures. Enjoy!
