Day one started out kinda late, and it was cold and rainy. What a horrible day it was. But, we were going to the TAS baby!

Because I am a dumb ass, and missed my exit, then getting off at the next one, and paying to get back on, it took us about an hour to get there.

Walk inside the building from the entrance, and into the the West Hall. WOW. We are on the second floor, and you can pretty much get a good layout of where you want to go, and where to stay away from due to people crowding in certain areas.

We hit the floor and decide that we won’t try to take pictures of the same car. . . but come on, sometimes it just happens. We start taking photos of cars and girls, cars and girls, cars and girls. They are everywhere. Companies with their demo cars showing off their products. Some companies had 5-10 different cars, others just 1 or 2.

We spent about three hours there on day one due to I had to work that night, and had a party planned for the Hipertekspeed.com group… They never showed up.

Walk outside, its now raining again after nothing for about an hour. So, we walk back to the car, get soaked, and head out.

Day 2 started out SO much better… thanks Torry for calling and waking me up.

The sun was shining, it was pretty warm out, and the Laurel was ready for another highway trip to Makuhari Messe.

On the highway, we ran into a little traffic here and there, and then had about a 35 minute wait to go 1.5 miles for the exit. So, we snapped some pics. You will see those too.

Got into town, took an alternate route and had no problems.

Back into the building for round two, and to hit the two other halls we didn’t get to. Pictures, pictures, pictures. I must have taken well over 200 myself, and John probably added another 150 or so. Not all of them are showing because they didn’t turn out well, or they don’t pertain to the show. Most of the others you will get to see in another story.

Anyway, all in all, it was a great show. Nissan’s booth lacked the luster it had last year because the GT-R Z tune was not on hand. The Fairlady S tune was there, and some others. Just not what I was hoping for though. Over all, the Nissan camp did good.

HKS had a so so booth as well. Their best cars were the TT’d Z and the SC’d Z. You will see those in the pics.

2006’s Tokyo Auto Salon was a very good show, all the cars were beautiful, lots of exotics, and even some ATV’s, Motorcycles, Trikes, and go karts.

I hope everyone enjoys the pictures, and be sure to thank Torry for all the work he did for getting them all up for your viewing pleasure. Thanks Torry, you rock. And NEVER wake me up with a phone call again…..
